A Portrait with Objects
Have you ever thought about portraying someone with objects that symbolize him?
Let me ask you the inevitable question-- what objects may symbolize you, or you're beloved person?
If someone will try to portray my being and personality with objects I am not sure that a camera will be included... there could be allot of other things in mind and maybe it depends on who you ask.
Well here is how I choose to deal with this challenge.
This is a portrait of my dear grandmother, made with objects that symbolize her memory and the life that she had as a survivor of the Holocaust. A Jewish Mom of three kids. Those objects have been with her threw half of Europe on foot at the world war time and came with her to Israel to start a new life and a family. Rest in peace Nechama Applestein 😔
